In Case You Didn't Know

  • During an interview with Bill O' Reilly this week, Senator Barack Obama admitted that the troop surge in Iraq was a success, after months of denial. Obama told O'Reilly "I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated. It's succeeded beyond our wildest dreams." And yet, when O'Reilly asked Barack Obama if he had made a mistake in voting against the troop surge, Obama refused to admit his mistake (Watch the O'Reilly/Obama Interview Here).
  • John McCain spearheaded the effort in the Senate to push for the Iraq troop surge. He has never wavered in his support for the Surge, even when low approval ratings for the Surge could have doomed his chance to become President. John McCain always will put his "Country First" and stick by the policies that be believes are best for America.
  • Americans can trust that John McCain's convictions are firm. John McCain has not and as President will not change his positions for political gain. While Senator Obama is certainly a patriotic American, he has not shown the courage to stick by his principles through thick and thin. In fact, Senator Obama has changed his positions on issue after issue over the past few months.
America needs a leader who will stand firm on the most important issues of the day. You can trust that what John McCain says today is the same thing that he will say as president.
