Three Weeks Later....
I notice my last post was about who is the father of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. Not that it makes any difference to the vast majority of the world, but there is something about the gossip angle. We just can't seem to get enough of celebrity gossip. Especially when $400 some odd million dollars is involved.
And don't kid yourself. The money is a huge part of this mess. Sure, I'm willing to believe that someone genuinely cares about Dannielynn herself. But I have to wonder just how many of the daddies would be saying they are or could be her daddy if she was worth $400 and not millions.
Everyone involved just needs to step back and think about the little girl. And the love that they can get from her. Think of watching her grow up and become the woman she is meant to be. Watching her take her first steps, say her first words, go to school, her first date, and even her first heartbreak. I never had that. And even though I sometimes say, "I'm not so sorry I'm missing that ....." worry about my kid being kidnapped, getting in with the wrong crowd and making bad decisions and other. I know there are so many wonderful things about watching a child grow up that they far outweight the problems. I'm envious sometimes.
I'm also cynical enough to know (yes, know!) that there are people who are in this for the money. I do worry that Dannielynn might end up lying beside her mother and brother in that Bahamian cemetary. I want to be proven wrong.
But I'm not. I'm not calling names, but it's true. Sad as it is, the life of a beautiful little girl takes backseat to the love of money in the hearts of some people.
May God forgive them. It's not in me to do so.
